Our summary

We rebuilt the pipeline reporting and security model in three months, so each role, from director to account manager, sees figures that reconcile across all six divisions.

The situation

A national logistics operator had Dynamics 365 Sales and a pipeline nobody trusted. The standard dashboards did not answer the questions leadership asked, and the security model no longer matched an operating structure with six divisions in it.

The brief was to fit the system to how the business is organised.

What we did

We replaced the standard dashboards with role-based Power BI sales analytics for directors, team leads and account managers. We designed the dataset model, wrote the DAX measures and built roll-up totals so each role sees a number that reconciles.

We set up a three-tier hierarchical security model in Dynamics, restructuring access across all six divisions so permissions reflect responsibility and reporting line.

How it was delivered

We ran discovery workshops with senior leadership to capture requirements, operational priorities and expected outcomes, and turned them into Azure DevOps artefacts for traceability and iterative planning.

The solution shipped through a series of QA releases with continuous stakeholder feedback, so leadership had already seen and agreed what went live.
