Acceptable Use Policy

  • Version 1.0
  • Effective from 1st November 2026
  • Last updated 31st October 2026

This policy sets out what you and your users must not do with our services, including hosting, email, domain names, Microsoft services we manage, AI services and our website. It forms part of our Customer Agreement. The platforms we use, such as GoDaddy, Namecheap and Microsoft, have their own acceptable use rules, which also apply.

Key points

  • Do not use our services for anything illegal, harmful, abusive or deceptive.
  • Do not send spam or host malware or phishing pages.
  • Do not try to break into or overload any system.
  • If you break these rules, we may remove content or suspend the service.
  • Report abuse to support@saueglobal.com.

1. Illegal and harmful content

1.1 You must not use our services to create, store, publish, send or link to content that:

  • is illegal in the UK or where it is accessed, including content that amounts to illegal content as defined in the Online Safety Act 2023,
  • sexually exploits or abuses children, or shows child sexual abuse material,
  • promotes or supports terrorism or violent extremism,
  • encourages self-harm, suicide or violence against people or animals,
  • harasses, threatens, bullies or discriminates unlawfully against anyone,
  • is defamatory, or breaches anyone's privacy or confidence or
  • infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property.

1.2 You must not use our services to sell or promote illegal goods or services, including prescription medicines without a lawful prescription, or to facilitate prostitution or human trafficking.

2. Spam and email

2.1 You must not use our services to send unsolicited marketing email, texts or other messages in breach of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 or the UK GDPR.

2.2 Marketing messages you send must have the consent the law requires, identify you clearly and include a working way to unsubscribe. We may ask you for evidence of consent.

2.3 You must not use email hosting or Microsoft 365 for bulk marketing email. Use a dedicated email marketing service for that.

2.4 You must not run an open mail relay, or forge or hide the origin of messages.

3. Security and abuse

3.1 You must not use our services to:

  • distribute viruses, malware, ransomware or other harmful code,
  • host phishing pages or pages that impersonate another organisation,
  • carry out or support denial of service attacks, hacking, port scanning or other attempts to break into systems you are not authorised to access or
  • commit fraud or deceive people.

3.2 You must not test the security of our systems, or our providers' systems, without our written permission.

3.3 You must keep the software, plugins and passwords you control up to date and secure. If your website or account is compromised, you must help us fix it.

4. Fair use of shared resources

4.1 You must not use shared hosting or other shared services in a way that harms other customers. This includes cryptocurrency mining, running file-sharing or download services, heavy automated scraping and using far more storage, processing or bandwidth than your plan is designed for.

5. AI services

5.1 You must not use our AI services, or AI tools we configure for you, to create content that breaks this policy, to deceive people about whether they are dealing with AI where the law requires you to tell them, or to make significant decisions about people in breach of our AI Services Schedule.

6. Sanctions and regulated activities

6.1 You must not use our services in breach of UK sanctions or export control law.

6.2 You must not use our services to carry on an activity that needs a licence or authorisation, such as gambling or financial services, unless you hold it.

7. What we do if this policy is broken

7.1 If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, we may:

  • ask you to remove content or stop the activity,
  • remove or disable content ourselves,
  • suspend all or part of the service under clause 21 of the Customer Agreement or
  • end the Contract under clause 11.5 of the Customer Agreement, where the breach is a material breach.

7.2 We will tell you before we act where we can, unless the law, a regulator or the seriousness of the breach requires immediate action. We may report illegal activity to the police or other authorities.

7.3 You are responsible for breaches by your users and by anyone who uses your account with your permission or because you did not keep your login details secure.

8. Reporting abuse

8.1 To report abuse of our services, or content you believe is illegal, email support@saueglobal.com with as much detail as you can, including web addresses and copies of messages.

8.2 We review reports promptly and act in line with section 7. If the content is on a platform run by one of our providers, we may pass your report to them.
